"As we grow older, it becomes difficult to just believe"

So I haven't fallen off the other side of the world, really... just the other side of life where internet is scarce and the work hours long. I am, however, settling in well up here in Yankee (or Red Sox depending on who you ask) territory.

The area that I'm living in and working in is beautiful. I get to see the Adirondacks as I go to work, and the Green mountains as I drive home. Almost everyday, I get to go eat lunch down by Lake Champlain and watch the retired couples take their sail boats out for a cruse. Everyone has a dog... but me. They take them everywhere! Even most of the stores around here allow them to come in, and even sell little treats that you can give them.

Also, everybody rides bikes around town... and even out of town. Everywhere you go, there will be at least 3-5 people riding a bike down the road. They even have these cute little attachments that go on the back of a bike for little ones. It allows the parents to direct where they go, but still allow the kids to think they are doing the work.

I'm just going to post a few pictures this time, just to show you the lay of the land... but i'll be back I promise you that!

These were taken down on the water front. There are sail boats everywhere! The last is the view of Lake Champlain from Mt. Philo.

The other thing I love about Burlington is that there is random art everywhere. Practically every wall has a mural and every corner has some sort of something on it. The first picture here is of a bunch of filing cabinets welded together just sitting in the middle of this empty field. The second is a carving that someone did on a rock along the bikepath that runs by the lake.
